On 23 February 2019, the MATTA Sabah Chapter organised the inaugural ASEAN B2B Session between MATTA Sabah Chapter members and ASEAN tour operators that was held at Sutera Harbour Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
ASEAN B2B Session was graced by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism, culture and Environment Sabah, YB Datuk Christina Liew together with MATTA President, Datuk tan Kok Liang as well as Deputy Director General (Promotion) of Tourism Malaysia, Dato’ Mohmed Razip Hasan. The event was then followed by cultural performances and presentations from Sabah Tourism Board and Tourism Malaysia.
It is a milestone achievement for Sabah tourism industry where this collaboration between MATTA Sabah Chapter, Sabah Tourism Board and Tourism Malaysia has successfully gathered over 40 travel and tour companies across ASEAN countries such as Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam in order to promote Sabah’s wide range of attractive domestic tourism products and services.
