MATTA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (UOB) to affirm the commitment in driving the adoption of technology in tourism industry. The MoU was inked during the launching of ‘Jom Transfrom Programme’ by UOB and The Finlab on 13 June 2019 at Menara UOB.
The Jom Transform Programme is designed to help businesses refresh their business models for the digital economy. It will also adopt suitable technology curated and facilitated by The FinLab, to grow their business or improve productivity. The three-month programme comprises a series of workshops, technology implementation and mentorship opportunities.
The programme is also supported by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor, Maxis, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and SME Corporation Malaysia.
As one of the five partners, MATTA trusts that this initiative will help participating businesses from the travel and tourism industry remain competitive in the Malaysian and global market, with proactive technology adoption.
