In conjunction with the Lunar New Year 2019, MATTA held a Chinese New Year Celebration on 21 February 2019 at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur with over 300 members and guests from the tourism industry.
The event which was also graced by YB Tuan Anthony Loke, Minister of Transport Malaysia and attended by many industry leaders from the tourism industry such as Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Tourism Malaysia, delegates from foreign embassies and international tourism agencies, airlines, hoteliers and media.
The guests were treated with a sumptuous Chinese cuisine including platters of traditional 'Yee Sang' as a symbolic of prosperity, good luck and all things auspicious. Besides that, the guests had the opportunity to enjoy energetic lion dance performance and magic show by MAD Entertainment.
Present at the event were MATTA President Datuk Tan Kok Liang and Dato’ Dr. Ammar A. Gaphar, Senior Director of Domestic and Events of Tourism Malaysia.
