In conjunction with Chinese Lunar New Year 2018, MATTA organised a Media Chinese New Year Celebration Dinner on 22 February 2018 held at Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
More than 15 representatives consisted of editors, journalist and photographers from local media organisations, print and digital, tv and radio attended the event. The event was held to appreciate members of the media for the continuous support and news coverage towards MATTA’s mission and objective, being the leading travel and tour association in Malaysia throughout the years.
During the event, MATTA President, Datuk Tan Kok Liang took the opportunity to brief members of the media with MATTA’s achievements and highlights including to lend greater focus and enhance government efforts to boost tourists’ arrivals from international markets such as China, India, UK/Europe and Asean.
Also present were MATTA Deputy President, Mohd Akil Bin Mohd Yusof, Honorary Secretary General, Nigel Wong, HonoraryTreasurer, Jeremiah Lim and Chief Executive Officer, Phua Tai Neng.
MATTA is looking forward to an even closer relationship with the media for the coming years.
