The 9th Asia Pacific Ecotourism Conference was held from 21 to 23 October 2016 at Riverside Majestic Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak. The conference featured 21 international and local speakers with its theme, “Creating Opportunities in Ecotourism”. The event was launched by YB Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Assistant Minister for Tourism, Sarawak.
Delegates were brought to a field trip to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre and Sarawak Cultural Village. Some delegates did a post tour to experience nature and culture of Sarawak.
