Kindly be informed that Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) inviting members to participate as hosted buyers in the 2nd edition of the Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM 2023), to be held from 11th to 13th May 2023 in Lumbini, Nepal.
BITM is an annual event organized by NATTA to promote Buddhist pilgrimage in Nepal with spiritual tourism and showcase its tourism potential. The Mart aims to put Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, on the map as a must-visit spiritual destination. Local communities, tourism entrepreneurs, hotels, restaurants, transport operators, airlines, and others will benefit from the Mart.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Nepal Tourism Board, and travel trade organizations. NATTA is implementing the organisation of the event.
The Mart provides a B2B platform for buyers and sellers to meet, exchange business ideas, and promote their products. Participants include buyers from abroad, sellers from Nepal, national tourism organizations, bloggers/vloggers, media, sponsors, invitees, academicians, Buddhist scholars, and volunteers.
The inauguration ceremony will feature discussions on prospects of tourism, a B2B session and motivational speeches from spiritual leaders. BITM 2023 is expected to result in increased tourist arrivals, the development of a niche Buddhist tourism product, diversification of Nepalese tourism, and support for the local economy. Coinciding with this event NATTA celebrates the 25th anniversary of BIMSTEC in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The hosted buyers need to pay a certain amount after their selection.
They will be confirmed after their selection and the registration fee.
