Dear Members,

Kindly be informed that MATTA received an email from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) on 8 March 2021 regarding the business operations during Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

Kindly refer to the email as below:

The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) is pleased to inform you that the Government has allowed the operation of Tour Operators and Travel Agency, with the capacity limit for visitors capped at 50% of the premise with physical distancing starting from 05 March 2021 during Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). Business and activities under Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) are allowed to operate as usual without any restrictions but to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures for RMCO. In this regard, you may refer to the Standard Operating Procedures (for CMCO and RMCO) for Tour Operators and Travel Agency as attached. However, this permission may also be subject to the approval from respective Local Authorities, where applicable.

MOTAC would like to remind that the management must always adhere to every procedure set forth by the Government throughout the operation of the Tour Operators and Travel Agency in the effort to curb the spread of the pandemic.
