KUCHING: The government is urged to allow private companies to stop mandatory contributions to the employees provident fund (EPF), human resources development fund (HRDF), social security organisation (Socso) and employment insurance system (EIS) for the next six months to avoid mass layoffs. The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) also appealed for the immediate deferment of corporate and individual taxes for 2019.
